Exactly What Causes Heartburn?
Acid reflux is a torrid swelling of the esophagus triggered by a regurgitation ( or tried regurgitation ) of the belly’s contents. It’s a leading symptom of heart burn that effects roughly one out of every ten adults every day. The feeling of burning round the heart is commonly known as heartburn and is one out of many acid reflux symptoms. This pressure has been known to open the lower esophageal sphincter ( esophagus valve ), when the valve should be closed. This allows acid to escape into the esophagus.
Other considerations that make a predisposition for acid reflux include smoking, use of alcohol, food allergies, certain medicines, and lying down after meals. As you can tell, many of these factors can be overcome by practicing some behaviour modifications. In fact, in many cases of re-occurring acid reflux, life changes are all that’s necessary in stopping heartburn from becoming a chronic illness.
