Parenting advice is something that even the best parents need when raising children younger than teenagers. I would not be able to even begin giving advice on teens. You need a very qualified individual to help you out with teenager advice. I will not even attempt such a feat. Instead why don’t we try concentrating on the children a few years younger? The years that are shaping our children into the people they will grow to become.

Being a parent is often a hard but very rewarding job. Sometimes we may not be sure if we are doing the right things for our children. The best advice I can give you is to always do everything for your child out of love. If you have to punish your child, do it out of love not anger. Loving your child is the best thing you will ever do for them.

When dealing with a toddler there are some things you need to keep in mind. A toddler is going to break down and have temper tantrums. There are things you can do to prevent this from happening though. If your child stays home with you during the day it is very important that they get exercise like a short walk or something to that effect. You should also play with your child, I am not suggesting that you spend the entire day entertaining your toddler, that is not realistic.

These are things that will stimulated your child. If kept busy and stimulated enough they are much easier to handle. The temper tantrums will not be as plentiful as they were. A schedule can help prevent tantrums too. A toddler likes to know what they can expect. A schedule will give your toddler a feeling of security and they will take naps and bedtime much better and with fewer melt downs.

Once your toddler has out grown all of this and is finally going to school everything will change for both of you. A child feels like they are finally growing up. You will now have to treat your child like a big kid. A great way to teach responsibility to your school aged child is by giving them small after school chores. The age of your child should be considered when picking out the chores. You would not expect a six year old to clean the kitchen entirely.

When it is time to discipline your school age child, especially the ones that have just started school you should expect a few melt downs. A kindergartner has still not quite outgrown the toddler ways and they may just start throwing a tantrum like they use to. This would be the perfect time to start teaching them to voice their feelings. You should tell you child that telling you his is mad or frustrated is fine, but that it needs to be done with respect.

This advice is not going to help all the time on all of the children. We also have to keep in mind that it may be necessary to discipline our child in a tougher way. Whether dealing with a toddler or an older kid as their parent it is your responsibility to put down your foot. Of course you should be understanding, and nice to your children but sometimes hard love is necessary and punishing your child is perfectly OK.

Some people prefer not to spank their children, there are several ways to discipline your child with out hitting them. Time outs are great for younger children but what about they kids that are a little older like ten and twelve years old? Do we really expect a time out to work for them? Not likely, and if it does then good for you keep it up. The best thing to do with children this age is take away something they love. Find something they use daily or very often and take it away until they can stop the behavior that caused you to take it in the first place.

Anyone who has children will at some point need to take some advice about an aspect of raising their child. It can be very hard at times knowing what to do for the best in some situations and some people need parenting tips whether advice taken from friends and family or via informative articles.

when children are young tantrums are a common cause of worry. Mainly because it can be hard to know how to handle them in a toddler who does not have a strong understanding or vocabulary, so you need to get across they cannot throw tantrums, without getting wound up and shouting at them as this will make things worse and could potentially scare them.

If your younger child is shy with other people and is reluctant to leave your side, you need to make sure that they are aware you will always return and that you are not going anywhere when they are unaware.

For example if you drop your child at nursery and they are clinging to your legs, rather than waiting till they are happy engaged in playing with something and then sneaking out without saying bye you are likely to do more harm than good. They need the reassurance that you will come back after saying bye to them.

when it comes to older children misbehaving you need to make them aware of the fact that their actions if they misbehave will hold consequences. Such as once they have misbehaved you will not let them do something they like, such as meeting up with friends at the weekend. Or not allowing them to watch their favourite DVD.

This is not likely to work with the older age range and sending them to their room to calm down is better. Equally you need to take some time and space so that you do not start shouting at them and making the situation even worse, particularly when the child is 12 and heading towards puberty and is hormonal and argumentative.

your older child may want to do things that their peers are allowed to do. Sometimes this will not fit in with your ideas of what is acceptable for a child of that age and compromise will be needed in this circumstance.

If you are only objecting to them going without an adult, why not compromise and offer to drive them all there, see them into the correct film and then either have a coffee in the cafe or come back and collect them from the foyer when the film has finished?

The vast majority of situations that arise when bringing up children can be resolved with a little bit of understanding and patience. You must be able to recall being your child’s age and not being allowed to do things or feeling that no one understands where you are coming from. Talk to your child and listen, but remember to always be a parent first and a friend second.
