Acne can be very annoying and those that suffer from acne want to get rid of acne as fast as they can. Acne can make life very difficult and can damage an individual’s self esteem. Acne can be mild or very severe and those that suffer from acne want to minimize it as much as possible.

There are many different forms of acne and these different forms will have their own specific treatment. Pimples are red inflamed cells that happen when the pore walls are broken and bacteria begin to grow. Papules are spots of red that are not form blackheads or whiteheads. There are many different types of treatments available for acne and many individuals prefer all natural or homemade treatments because they do not contain any harsh chemicals that can further irritate the skin. Many of these natural products contain fruit extracts. You want to look for products or foods that can kill bacteria, unclog your pores and get rid of excess oil on the skin.

Many citrus fruits are particularly good at treating acne as citrus fruits naturally kill bacteria and also provide a lot of nutrients. They can shrink any swelling and inflammation. Other natural products that also benefit the skin as well as treating acne include cucumbers and tomatoes.

Oatmeal is also a favorite as you can apply oatmeal to your face, let it dry and then wash it off. The oatmeal will draw out any extra oil in your skin that could clog pores.

There is no overnight cure for acne but if you follow a good skin care regimen and use products designed for acne then you can greatly reduce your acne. No one has to live with acne and there are methods and treatments you can use to get rid of acne.

If you are interested in getting rid of blackheads then just washing your face will not do as blackheads have nothing to do with dirt. To get rid of black heads you need to get rid of oil, unclog your pores and kill bacteria. Recommended products include astringents, cleansers and topical medication.

Cleansers will eliminate dirt and bacteria form the skin. An astringent is used to shrink your pores so that it is difficult for oil to clog them and topical treatments can decrease inflammation and kill bacteria.

Prescription medication is necessary for very severe cases of acne as over the counter medication is not strong enough. If you have severe acne then you should speak to your dermatologist.
